Aims:
The National Inhalants Information Service (NIIS) is Australia’s only dedicated information service dealing with inhalant misuse. Our aim is to increase awareness of the inhalant misuse around the Australia, and provide well referenced information and resources to assist communities and individuals address the issues resulting from inhalant misuse.
Target audience:
The NIIS website provides information and resources free of charge to the Australian community with an interest in inhalant misuse. Information on the website has been separated into sections relevant to specific target groups:
- AOD workers
- Police, ambulance and other frontline healthcare workers
- Parents and teachers
- The indigenous community
- Community groups
- Retailers
- Media
- Youth
Content development and management:
Staff members from the NIIS have responsibility for the addition of content to this website. All material is reviewed in-house before addition to the site to ensure it complies with the main aims and objectives of the organisation, is of reputable quality and is correctly cited. Where there is doubt about the appropriateness of the content, the NIIS Stakeholder Advisory Group is consulted.
Content is reviewed for addition or modification on a monthly basis.
External web links are checked, using software, on a bi-monthly basis.
All in-house created pdf documents will include contact details and be dated.
‘Last updated’ dates on web pages are manually generated when content has been added or modified.

This website does not receive any payments for advertisement.
